Dallas Trinity River

The Trinity River is isolated from the public due to large stretches of undeveloped area. The Trinity  been charged with designing the park, which will help create a cohesive, green space for Dallas’ citizens to enjoy. The firm will essentially transform a large flood plain into a space with playgrounds, nature trails, and open lawns. At the same time, the work will minimize flooding.

Playful Photos of Polar Bears Frolicking in Flower Fields During Summer

Although we're used to seeing polar bears inhabiting snowy, icy landscapes during the winter, we rarely think about these majestic beasts in any other environments as the seasons change. As summer rolls around, though, it can be amazing to see the kind of shenanigans the furry creatures get themselves into. Polar bears in Northern Canada's Hudson Bay can be found playing in gorgeous flower fields, munching on freshly caught fish, and hunting beluga whales.
While staying at lodges run by Churchill Wild in Manitoba, Canada, wildlife and nature photographer Dennis Fastcaptured these incredible shots of polar bears frolicking in fields of fireweed. Surrounded by bright flowers, the playful bears can be seen rolling around, napping, and poking their heads up amongst the blooms. Come early autumn, polar bears start to wait for ice to reform in the bay so they can return to their winter hunting grounds, but for at least a short time in the summer, they get a chance to enjoy the sunshine and blossoms.

Environmental Portraits and Breathtaking Landscapes Capture China's Rich Beauty

This past summer, Chicago-based travel photographer Ken Koskela spent 17 days in China, where he captured a stunning mix of environmental portraits and awe-inspiring landscapes that highlight the rich beauty and culture of the Asian country. Koskela presents both a macro and micro view of China's countryside, narrowing in from all-encompassing vistas to eye-catching locals in rural villages. Shot with an emphasis on superb light, the photographer's breathtaking images share the stories of individuals and their surrounding environments in a stunning and evocative way.

Two Majestic Huskies Walk on Water Across the Surface of a Frozen Lake

Russian photographer and all-terrain vehicle driver Fox Grom was taking a stroll with his dogs when he came across a stunning sight—a frozen lake covered with rainwater, making it appear like his two huskies were walking on water. "I always take pictures of my dogs whilst walking them, but on this occasion there was an extraordinary phenomenon," Grom told the Daily Mail.
Grom's surreal photos show how heavy rainfall transformed the lake's thick ice into a smooth, mirror-like surface extending endlessly into the horizon. The two huskies, Alaska and Blizzard, explore the landscape with avid curiosity. With their gorgeous forms reflected in the water beneath them, and the bottom of the lake visible through the translucent glass, the whole experience looks like a scene from a spectacular fairytale or film.

Gorgeous Photos Simultaneously Capture Life Above and Below Sea Level

In Australian photographer Matthew (Matty) Smith’s series Over/Under, he simultaneously captures life above and below sea level. The gorgeous shots showcase our familiar world of sunsets, trees, and seagulls in the top halves of the photos, while the bottom portions feature intriguing sights of jellyfish, coral, and schools of fish.
Photographing these types of images present some unique technical challenges. There’s a difference in lighting and focus between the two areas, so Smith uses a strobe light for the underwater part of the photo. It helps mitigate the darker scenery with its low contrast and saturation.
Diving is a big part of Smith’s life and photographic practice. He sees Over/Under as a way to share his experiences with a non-diver. “I think it’s [diving] the suspense of the unknown of what lies beneath, the transitional part of moving from one element to the next that feels so magical and the thought of what alien creatures I might encounter,” he writes. “I try to convey to the viewer that majestic feeling in a picture format. It’s maybe the best way I can communicate to a non-diver what it’s all about, to marry a wet and unfamiliar world with a dry and more familiar one"

Nude Yoga Girl Contorts Her Body into Works

25-year-old Nude Yoga Girl isn't aiming to defy Instagram's nudity policy—she instead wants to use her yoga skills to create bodily works of art. "With my account I want to inspire people to realize that everybody is very beautiful and capable of [doing] amazing things with their bodies," she told Daily Mail. "Yoga helped me accept my body exactly the way it is." To promote this message of body acceptance, Nude Yoga Girl twists her naked frame into incredible contortions. So her images are natural and minimalistic, she chooses to photograph these poses in black-and-white. This monochromatic color scheme also helps her hide the intimate parts of her body, so viewers can focus on the artistic nature of her shots.
For many years, Nude Yoga Girl participated in yoga, but this is the first year she's adopted a daily practice. Yoga allows her to display strength and balance, and share an appreciation for the lines of the human body. Onlookers can easily see these elements in her favorite photo (the one above), which she captioned: "We can shape our life. We can shape our body."

struggling-couples-should-know-about-marriage

If you are struggling with your marriage, here are five things you should know. But remember, these are not solutions to the problems you are facing, but rather a starting point to help you look at common relationship problems in a more objective way.

PROBLEMS DON’T GO AWAY ON THEIR OWN

Time does not heal all wounds. Similar to physical wounds, relationship wounds also tend to worsen if not treated with care and attention. You will not gain the peace you want if you don’t address the problems arising in your relationship. Of course, it requires effort from both parties. Studies have shown that the happiest couples are the ones who work on their problems both together and individually.

VIEW YOUR STRUGGLES IN A POSITIVE LIGHT

Struggles can promote much needed change in marriage. They are similar to the red warning light on your car’s dashboard indicating that something is wrong and should be addressed. If properly tackled, marital conflicts don’t have to end in anger, bitterness, or separation. The problems that arise in your relationship give you an opportunity to bond. When two people work through a problem together, they come out on the other side closer than before.

6 Small Things That Are More Important To Men Than I Love You

6 Small Relationship experts have always believed that men and women are totally different. This belief is further bolstered by taking a look at the ways both respond to things, which actually varies widely. While most women might find delight in hearing the occasional “I Love You” from their partners, men might be looking for something more. What is the best way to express your affection to your spouse then?
Well, read on to know the seven gestures that mean a lot to him, and make his heart swell with the feelings of being loved and cared by his wife.

#1. Give him your full attention

When your husband finds you checking your phone in the middle of a conversation with him, he might interpret that he is not the priority of your life. Even though this might not be true, your spouse would still love to have your undivided attention whenever you are with him. So, limit those interruptions and attend to him totally. Nothing else will please him more than this.

#2. Shower compliments

Your partner would love to be seen by you as someone who is strong and capable of doing anything and everything. So, praise his actions that bring these qualities to light. Genuine praises about his loving nature and strength will make him aware of the love and respect that you have for him. Additionally, this would further encourage him to continue giving his best to you as well as the relationship.

#3. Seek his advice

Make your man feel important by asking his opinion on things that concern you. It will make him feel that he is an important part of your life. When you show that you depend on him, especially for taking crucial decisions, he will get a feeling that you trust and respect his opinion.

#4. Allow him to confide in you

Sometimes all that a man needs is a sympathetic ear. When he is discussing his worries and problems, let him vent out without being judgemental about him. It lets him know that you would be always by his side in the tough times and also, you do not see him as weak and inadequate. In such situations, you can also let him know that you find him someone very capable of solving his issues on his own. It also communicates your love, care and support to him in his times of distress.

#5. Laugh at his jokes

Every man wants to make his woman laugh. Acknowledging his sense of humour and laughing at his silliness will make him feel good about himself and give a boost to his confidence. Nothing bonds a couple like a good laugh together. No matter how silly his jokes are, your smile would mean quite a lot to him!

#6. Take an interest in what he does

Find out what he loves, and be genuinely interested in it. Nothing will make him happier than this. Sharing his interests and hobbies can bring you both closer as you spend quality time with each other. And, if you simply do not find interest in his kind of films, sports or any other hobby,
